The ground rules for using NettForge. We've kept them as plain as we can.
By downloading, installing, or using NettForge, or by creating an account on this website, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you don't agree, please don't use the service.
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use NettForge for managing your own passwords, on the terms set out here. The free core vault is available at no cost; paid features require an active subscription.
You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure and for all activity under your account. Give us accurate information, and let us know promptly if you believe your account has been compromised. You must be old enough to enter a contract in your country to hold a paid subscription.
NettForge uses zero-knowledge encryption. Your master password never leaves your device, and we cannot recover it. If you lose it, your vault cannot be opened — that is a deliberate security property, not a fault. You are solely responsible for remembering your master password and for keeping your own encrypted backups. We are not liable for any data you lose because a master password was forgotten or a backup was not kept.
Paid plans are billed in advance on a recurring basis (monthly or yearly) via our payment gateway. By subscribing, you authorise us, through that gateway, to charge your chosen payment method — including by debit order — on each renewal date until you cancel. If a payment fails, paid features may be suspended (locked) until the balance is settled; your encrypted vault and backups remain unaffected. Full billing details are on our Billing & Refunds page.
You agree not to misuse NettForge — for example by attempting to break, resell, or reverse-engineer the paid service beyond what the law allows, using it to store or distribute unlawful content, or interfering with the website's operation or security.
NettForge Send. You are responsible for what you share through a Send link and for who you give the link to. Because the content is encrypted with a key that only lives in the link, anyone who holds the link can open it until it expires or reaches its view limit — treat the link like the secret itself. Do not use Send to distribute unlawful content.
Emergency Access. If you nominate a trusted contact, you are choosing to let that person recover your vault after the waiting period you set, unless you approve sooner or deny the request in time. Choose your contact carefully, keep the waiting period sensible for you, and remove a contact if you no longer trust them — you can revoke access at any time.
NettForge is provided "as is". While we work hard to make it secure and reliable, we can't guarantee it will be uninterrupted or error-free. To the fullest extent permitted by law, our liability to you is limited, and we are not responsible for indirect or consequential losses, or for data loss arising from a forgotten master password or missing backup. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under mandatory consumer-protection law.
We may update these terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we'll take reasonable steps to let you know. Continuing to use NettForge after an update means you accept the revised terms.
